Planning Your Germany Travel - Before You Travel

Germany Travel Itinerary by Train

German Train Travel Itinerary

Michele Hartley
Plan where you want to go and what you want to see. This travel itinerary is especially good if you want to tour Germany's major cities and want to travel on the German trains. Travel by train is easy in Germany and is great for budget-conscious travelers.

This travel itinerary is designed to take you to Germany's major cities and some of the towns in between. You will visit Munich, Augsburg, Ulm, Stuttgart, Heidelberg, Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, Koblenz, Cologne, Bonn, Düsseldorf, Aachen, Bremen, Hamburg, Berlin, Potsdam and Dresden.

Naturally, the more time you have the better, but if you are determined to see all (or most) of Germany's major cities, this travel itinerary gives you a little time in each one if you are limited to 14 days. It also takes into account the 10 days of travel allowed with a German Rail Pass.

This is a round trip travel plan so you can start in any of the cities that you want to fly into and end up back at the same city. This one starts and ends in Munich but you can start and end your German trip in any of the cities on the travel itinerary.

Keep in mind that this is kind of a whirlwind tour so if you have the time, you may want to add on a little more time in the cities you are most interested in.
